the dirty.

From his beginnings in New Jersey, James sailed cross-country and back where he's currently living in Brooklyn, NY. He has a taste for adventure, bike rides over bridges at midnight, old records, and wildflowers on the side of the road.

After spending a some time on the west coast, he returned to finish his undergraduate at Hunter College in NYC. During this time, he better acquainted himself with small press publishing, the joys of being an intern and working through endless slush piles, d.i.y. (do-it-yourself) chapbooks/zines, queer theory, and urban gardening.

Currently James is a freelance writer, poet, MFA student at Queens College (CUNY), and the poetry editor of the Ozone Park Journal, which just released its second issue this Spring. See the journal at www.ozoneparkjournal.org.

His work has appeared in print and online journals, the newest among them: Women Studies Quarterly (through Feminist Press), Farmhouse Magazine and Next Door Magazine.
